Alicia is a sex-positive, kink-aware, bilingual (English and Spanish) Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, sex researcher, and international speaker. She graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of Louisville and a Masters of Social Work from the University of South Florida. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Sexology which provides specialized, clinical training in sexuality and treatment of sexual dysfunctions. Alicia has been featured several times as a relationship and sex expert on Fox 4.
Alicia has extensive experience in psychiatric social work, working with children with severe behavioral and mental health issues, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and sex therapy. Currently, her focus is relationship, couples, sex therapy, trauma utilizing Trauma Incident Reduction Protocol (TIR), and DBT. Alicia works with many couples who are recovering from sex addiction and are struggling with creating a healthy sexuality. Alicia co-facilitates the Men’s Sex Addiction/DBT group and the DBT for Women group at Spectrum Recovery Solutions.
Alicia lives with her husband, Michael in North Naples. Together, they have three children and Mandy, the family dog who specializes in finding the perfect place to take a nap. Alicia and Michael are heavily involved in the SWFL community through the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and the March of Dimes.
